Picnic in the Park

Rotary Club of Downey gathered at Furman Parks for the last meeting of the year, and spouses and children attended to make it a family occasion. In his brief remarks, outgoing president Russell Skersick said that his takeaway from being president is that he has gotten to know everyone better.

Thanks for an outstanding year, Russell.

In an informal moment, Russell also signed the book for the Children’s Room at the Downey Library.

Dan Fox supervised the grouping of the annual club picture from the traditional tall ladder that comes from, where? But the actual snapping of the picture, from the top of said ladder, was done by Nicki Skersick, Russell’s wife. The club urged her to take at least three, to be sure we got immortalized.
