Interact Takeover - Warren High School

Today was “Take-Over” Day by the Warren High School Interact Club. President Camella and her cohorts were at the door to greet us, and to lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance.

After a brief Club money-raiser, of selling us several plates of brownies and chocolate chip cookies, Camella proceeded to tell us what Warren Interact had accomplished in 2015-16. Activities included making cards for Vets on Veteran’s Day and Valentines for Seniors, joining in an End Polio walk and pitching in at the FoodHelp ministry at Downey First Christian Church by sorting and organizing the food donations on Fridays, and giving out food on Saturdays. The high point seemed to be making a cardboard boat and participating with our Downey Rotary Club at the District Picnic in September. Alex Lopez spoke for all of us when he pointed out how eager our club is to assist Interact Clubs whenever possible.
