Children's Christmas Party

Santa Claus came to Downey Rotary, under bright sunny skies and amid the excited anticipation of our guests, 2nd grade school children from all of Downey’s elementary schools. Doctor Ed Potter came and played Christmas music before luncheon.
John Garcia, our Superintendant of Schools, did the honors of reading out each school’s name and its chaperones, and then the boys and girls came forward to receive their gift from Santa’s own hand (and wrapped by all our club members’ hands, the week before).
