Our July 2024 Demotion Party was a wonderful gathering of Rotarians sharing in our gratitude to former president Jeremy Brown and welcoming in our new president Kate Nutting. We had great fun at our Hawaiian themed party complete with a visit from the current District Governor an Albert Hernandez and granting a Paul Harris. Click here to read more about it!With the 2023-2024 Rotary year coming to an end, it was sadly time to say goodbye to our president, Jeremy Brown. All the Rotarians in attendance were able to share their appreciation for his tenure as our club leader. Our club enjoyed a lovely lunch as they chatted amongst themselves regarding the previous year, memories, and the year to come.
President Elect Kate Nutting gave a wonderful speech on the leadership of Jeremy and awarded him the wooden gavel and a small token of gratitude. It was an even more special occasion with the District Governor Albert Hernandez present to see the exchange of presidents. He was able to share in the Rotary moment and aid our club in bringing in our new president Kate Nutting.
Our club was elated to cheer on this new rotary year with Kate leading the way. We sent all our well wishes to her and her board knowing that all our programs are in good hands.
To conclude the festivities we had the honor of awarding another Paul Harris level to one of our members Rouena Benson. Rouena has proven time and time again with her time and giving that she is an example Rotarian for many!
We can already see this is going to be a wonderful year at the Carson-Gardena-Dominguez Rotary Club, and it's off to a great start! If you're thinking about making a difference in your community and becoming a part of these generous projects, reach out to us on how to get connected and attend one of our Wednesday meetings. We would love to have you!
