The Rotary Club of Carson-Gardena-Dominguez Distributes 200 Thanksgiving in Partnership with Local Businesses

Carson, CA – The Rotary Club of Carson-Gardena-Dominguez’s Operation Gobble program distributed 200 Thanksgiving meals to the Carson and Gardena communities in partnership with several local businesses.  The Thanksgiving meals were distributed to regional centers and schools that serve families with limited resources who may otherwise go without a meal this Thanksgiving holiday.

“Food insecurity is a problem in approximately 14% of California households.  We are grateful to local businesses that joined with us to provide Thanksgiving meals for families with limited resources,” said Chris Mark, Operation Gobble project leader.  “Alleviating hunger has been a Club tradition for over 6 decades and we have given out more than 13,800 Thanksgiving meals since Operation Gobble’s launch.  We are pleased and proud of the difference that the program has had in our communities!”
