The Rotary Club of Carson-Gardena-Dominguez Distributes 250 Thanksgiving Food Boxes in Partnership with Local Businesses and Rotary District 5280

Carson, CA – The Rotary Club of Carson-Gardena-Dominguez’s Operation Gobble program distributed 250 Thanksgiving food boxes to the Carson and Gardena communities in partnership with several local businesses, and with help of a grant from the Rotary District 5280 Charitable Foundation.  The Thanksgiving meals were distributed to regional centers and schools that serve families with limited resources who may otherwise go without a meal this Thanksgiving holiday.

“Food insecurity is a problem in approximately 14% of California households.  We are grateful to local businesses that joined with us to provide Thanksgiving meals for families with limited resources,” said Kate Nutting, the Club's current President.  “Alleviating hunger has been a Club tradition for over 6 decades, and we have given out more than 14,700 Thanksgiving meals since Operation Gobble’s launch.  We are pleased and proud of the difference that the program has had in our communities!”
