16th Annual Grand Prix

This fundraising event will be like no other.  If you are looking for a teambuilding opportunity, then act fast because only 12 teams will be allowed to register for this annual event.  The race will take place on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Go-Kart World, 21830 Recreation Road, located adjacent to the San Diego Freeway in the City of Carson.

5:00 PM Gates Open

5:00 – 5:30 PM Check-in

5:30 – 6:00 PM Driver Meeting

6:00 PM Race Begins

7:30 PM Dinner and Awards

Rotary clubs will be able to sponsor a team of up to six drivers who will compete on a 1/3 mile double-deck super track.  Reaching speeds of 40 mph, the drivers will be cheered by their pit crews and fans. At the end of the race, the team with the most laps wins!!  After an award ceremony honoring the top three teams, it’s off to the banquet room for dinner, bragging and comparing printed race reports.

We hope to see your club participate by sponsoring a team and attending the awards dinner.  Early registration is recommended to ensure your club will be one of the 12 teams.  There will be plenty of food, wine, beer, a 50/50 cash drawing, and a prize raffle, so make sure you invite family and friends to witness your driving skills and share in this fun event.
