This Weeks Meeting 05/01/2014
Mike Lundgren brought our two RYLA attendees who were our
speakers today.
Unfortunately a long time member, Jack Rowe passed away.
We were joined by two lovely young ladies from Bellflower
High School today. Madaline and Leslie are both Sophomores.
They both maintain A+ averages while attending AP Classes.
They were our RYLA Camp attendees this year. They told us
of the games and events they participated in that stressed
the 4C's(Cooperation, Communication, Creativity, and Compassion).
They also participated leadership skill workshops, team building
activities, an Olympics and talent show. They had a great time,
as well as a wonderful learning experience. When asked if they
would go back, there was a resounding YES!
We are at the Lakewood Club's Meeting Place at Lakewood City Hall
on Clark Avenue next week at 12:00 PM. Ware your
"Every 15 Minutes" Shirts if you have them.
We will be DARK the following week for District Conference.
