Our speaker today is Raymond Biel.
On this day in 1835 the U.S. National Debt is '0'
for the first and only time!!!
Raymond Biel, is 92 and a retired dentist living in Artesia,
had no idea what he was getting into when he
copiloted the
“Full House” in 1945 as part of the U.S. Air Force,
Composite Group.  Ray told us how his and three other ships
flew over the possible target cities in Japan ahead of the
"Enola Gay."  They were checking weather to decide which
city would be the target.
So many lives on both sides were saved by ending the war
at that time.
Ray is the only living pilot left from those B29's.
