This Weeks Meeting 08/21/2014
We had a wonderful speaker this week.
None other than Jim Kelly, the just retired
Chief of Security for The Marriott Hotel Chain,
Pacific Division.
Jim Murrin complained about a five year old Morgan Stanley Smith Barney
Pen that Doug Easer had given him. That cost Doug a $5 fine.
Howard Davis's Phone went off during our speaker's
presentation which resulted in a $25 fine.
Our Comedy, Magic, & Dinner Show was a BIG success. Everyone
had GREAT time. We raised more than two thousand dollars for
our foundation. Thank You Connie Hui for all your hard work.
Thank all our members, visiting Rotarians, and guests. Without
you we could not do all our good work locally and around the world.
We haven't heard back from Kiwanis about a property exchange
meeting...I think they like our bell!?! In the mean time, I hope you
are enjoying my Great Grandmother's School Bell.
We went to "Movies Under the Stars" Friday night, sat with Janna and
Peter Enkhorn. The Miss Bellflower Court was there dressed up as
Disney Princess. Most of the little girls dressed up too and danced
with them up front before the movie "Frozen" was shown. Older
kids played games with The Volunteer Center Folks. It was a full
open house.
Come to meeting next week to get a City update from our City
Manager - Jeff Stewart.
