Celebrate 20 Years of Women in Rotary with emcee Fritz Coleman on Friday, December 12.

This year the Rotary International float riders are Women Rotary Leaders drawn from clubs stretching from Santa Maria to San Diego. This is a one-time event and we invite you members of your Club to join the clubs from our district at this special occasion.
  • Meet emcee Fritz Coleman, honorary Rotarian and outstanding comedian.
  • Meet 2009 Tournament of Roses Queen Courtney Lee and the six Rose Princesses.
  • Meet Carol Wylie, our district's first woman Governor. Millions of television viewers will see her riding the float on January 1st.
  • Meet and have your picture taken with the other float riders representing the Women in Rotary, including Sylvia Whitlock -- the first woman Club President of the Rotary Club of Duarte. Sylvia joined the Duarte Club in 1982, thus triggering the club's expulsion from the international organization. After a successful suit carried all the way to the Supreme Court of the United States, the club was reinstated into Rotary in 1987.
Everybody will be there, including the entire leadership of the Rotary Float Committee and most clubs in the district. Fellowship begins at 11:00am on Friday, December 12, at the beautiful, Omni Los Angeles Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, 251 S Olive Street, Los Angeles 90012. Lunch is $40.

It is important for all women leaders to be part of this event. Please call the LA5 office (213.624.8601) or e-mail Karen@RotaryLA5.org.

PLEASE make your reservation immediately. This event always sells out every year, but this year we've got the special Women of Rotary guests and we will never, ever have this opportunity again.
