What does Whitehorse Rendezvous Rotary do? October 2015

On October 30th the club's International Committee contributed $2,500 to help purchase two blood storage refrigerators in Ghana in collaboration with the Nanaimo Rotary Club. The current need for the refrigerators is urgent, based on a population of 2.3 million and each hospital only having storage for 50 units of blood at a time. Much of the blood is currently collected from family members when needed and women, children and accident victims do not fair well  as there is not enough room for storage.
