Bio of Lonnie Powel

Drumming has been my personal journey in recovery, joy and personal growth over several years. Sharing experience, strength and hope by offering drumming sessions for musical inspiration and joy to a multitude of men and women’s groups over several years. Including ongoing workshops with The Sarah Steele Wellness facility and various organizations. Sharing the gift of Rhythmic vibration and personal stories Facilitating workshops at Whitehorse Correction Center for inmates with mentorship from the late great Bill Stewart (clinical addictions phycologist) allowed my discovery of the powerful impact drumming has as a unifying, healing instrument for people of all ages, races colors and creeds.  Drumming and unity, sharing rhythms with others, allows immediate intimate interactions in a simple, positive and playful manner. It is truly an honor to share Rhythms to all those beautiful soul’s willing to participate in a timeless tool of community connection and joy. Looking forward to connecting with you all in Circles of Rhythm.

As a special bonus, locally famous musician, Dave Haddock, will be joining us on Wednesday night for some beat!  How cool is this? Pass it on.

A small donation will be collected. https://davehaddock.bandcamp.com/music
