In 2005, Yukon fisheries biologist Susan Thompson had a dream to see Kenyan farmers become more self-sustaining by raising fish for income.
Our speakers for tomorrow evening will be Fish4Kenya Board Chair Don Toews and Board Director Pat Tobler. They will be providing us with an update on Fish4Kenya and what has been happening with this project. We last heard from Don in 2021 and since then, some exciting developments have been happening.
Fish4Kenya, supported in part through a Rotary District Grant in 2005 by the Rotary Club of Whitehorse, is now a registered non-profit charitable organization doing amazing things and is a testament to the longevity of a good project.
