Hello Rotary colleagues-- just a short update and a few pics.

We had 8 volunteers at Habitat for Humanity on Saturday (May 30th) at the single moms' 4 plex in Whistle Bend (lots of painting done and more to do another day)

15 Rotarians and  volunteers (Mike L will know if more) at the community cleanup on June 6th along  2nd Ave.  including several from the satellite club led by Reba plus her friends.

And on Sunday, June 7th we raised over $525 for the  BC and Yukon  Kidney walk and were the 4th placed team here-- thanks to generous Rotarians and friends (our initial goal of $250 was quickly achieved thanks to club member generosity and then a mysterious new goal of $500  magically appeared and more generous donations from Rotarians and friends of Rotary).  If you are out walking/ golfing /kayaking whatever  in the next few days or not, and wish to contribute  to our team (plus get a tax receipt for donations  of  $20 or more)  please go to  Kidneywalk.ca , select Region BC and Yukon, select Whitehorse and our team Rendezvous Rotary Club.

Thanks everyone as you have demonstrated  service above self in many ways these past days  -- community service, outreach and  assisting/supporting others.

Cheers,
Lois

( We can look forward to more painting at Habitat for Humanity  plus our annual Yukon  Wildlife Preserve work day and I'm sure other worthy  events). Good Day to you all and congratulations fellow Rotarians.)
