Volunteers from the Aldergrove Rotary Club Starfish Backpack Program receive a cheque for $14,000. The exceedingly generous donation came from proceeds from the Thank You for Caring Langley Christmas Tea, a community event created by the late Debbie Froese, who was the wife of Langley Township's mayor Jack Froese. Originally called The Mayors Wives' Tea, the annual Christmas celebration was designed to benefit the local Christmas Bureau and other charities. In 2019 the name was changed to expand the organization's reach and help more families in need. On behalf of the 84 Aldergrove students from families in need, who are taking home nutritious and easy-to-prepare Starfish Backpack meals, THANK YOU for Caring.Thank You for Caring Tea
