Juneau Rotarian, Bob Didier, leads a team of volunteers in a service project to scrub, paint, and repair the Mendenhall Wetland refuge viewing platform. The original construction of the viewing stand was a Rotary service project over 30 years ago, and members of our club have faithfully cared for the site ever since. The area at Egan Drive's 6 mile turn-out, is a popular stop for locals and visitors seeking a view of the Mendenhall wetlands, and the glorious mountain skyline across the Gastineau Channel.
