Details about the weekends activities: Oktoberfest Fireside and Road Clean-up. Read about "Dutch" with the APD K-9 Unit who was one of our guest speakers today

We had several guests today: Gary Gearhart, a realtor from the Valley was with Eric. Meg brought Vladamir from Russia. Mike Fuller made it today - we hope he will be a member, instead of visitor, soon and our guests speakers from Dollars for Dogs.

Mary Ann led us in a touching invocation for the people of Samoa. Apparently, Dave and her spent 6 months in Pago Pago in the 1970s paving the runway.
The happy buck highlight today was that Kathy's daughter, Megan, got married last weekend and Kathy's parents are gone now!

We had several guest speakers today on behalf of Dollars for Dogs. John Spalding from the International Club and Marshall Johnson represented the board and Officer Jason Whetsell of the K-9 Unit brought Dutch. The dogs are used for catching bad guys, area searches, building searches and drug searches. It is an expensive unit because each dog costs $12,000. The city does not pay anything for the dogs, Dollars for Dogs funds this program completely. Dutch is a very friendly dog who will gladly slober all over you and Officer Whetsell had some great stories. February 20 at Conocco Phillips is an open house for Dollars for Dogs and one of their major fundraisers.

Meg won $14 in split the pot and he donated it to Dollars for Dogs!
