Joe Miller, candidate for the US Senate, wsa our guest speaker.

Don't forget - Nature Center Clean-up, tomorrow, Saturday 11am-2pm. Fireside at Martha's following. Bring a salad or dessert to share.

Martin opened the meeting today and three guests were introduced. Jason Elsworth, a guest of Meg's, Joe Miller, our guest speaker, and Matt Johnson, who is working on Joe's campaign.

Happy Buck Highlight: It would have to be that District Conference was great and very informative. Also, we should be proud that our club now has 2 District Leadership Academy graduates. Pete graduated last weekend and Brad last year. This is a great resource for our club.

Pete announced that at District Conference our club won a Literacy Award and the highly coveted Presidential Citation. The Presidential Citation means that our club met the goals that the RI President laid out at the beginning of his year. This is the 2nd year in a row that we have earned it. The hardest part for our club, and many others as well, is always the membership goal. But we did it!

Joe Miller, candidate for the US Senate, spoke to us about his candidacy. He has an impressive background - West Point graduate, Yale Law School and the youngest US magistrate judge ever. He served in Desert Storm and also has a degree from UAA in economics.

Joe spoke about the globalization of our economy, his concern for our nation's recovery and the problem with our growing national debt. Very interesting, but you had to be there!

See you next week - Tonya
