Wilmette Harbor Rotary Club has supported the Fabretto Organization for several years. Recently a grant funded their computer training program.
The main objective of this project was to build skill sets through the Fabretto organization’s education programs which will make impoverished Nicaraguan students more competitive in the local market, with the two most important skills being basic English language ability and computer or information technology skills.
The specific objectives to achieve this are:
1. Investing in necessary IT equipment to improve the operation of the computer laboratories et Fabretto’s education centers and at its partner public schools.
2. To increase the efficiency of Fabretto’s administration of the programs through purchase of necessary IT equipment.
To purchase books and teacher manuals to improve Fabretto’s ESL curriculum at all grade levels.For more information about Fabretto see their website: Fabretto
