Katherine Sawyer of Oakton Community College and our Karen Kline Scholarship recipient Beata Geryk provided us with an informative understanding of Oakton Community College and appreciation for our annual scholarship program.
This Week's Meeting
Join us for a presentation by the Rotary Club Prague International providing us with a perspective from a Rotary club in Europe. The Club is a diverse group, active in the Prague community and supportive of various projects including a clean water project in India. Co-President Ben Ivory was a member while working in Prague from 2013 to 2016.
Other News:
- The Community Assessment Project is progressing well with a few successful interviews completed last week. Please contact Corinne McClintic if you have questions or want to help.
- Our Fall/Winter Fundraiser is ready to launch with wines, food items, and raffle prizes finalized. Thank you Jim Pockross, and committee members for organizing!
- Coats are ordered and on their way for the Warm Coats Project. We hear that the demand for coats is greater than ever this year. Thank you Hank Huffnagel for guiding this year's program.
- Final plans for End Polio fundraising will be shared this week. Frank Hussey is organizing and will ask for volunteers to assist next Friday, October 23rd and Saturday the 24th.
