Sheriff Tom Dart speaks to joint meeting

On June 19, we met with the Wilmette Harbor and Winnetka-Northfield Clubs. Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart spoke about some of the issues he faces in his work. He discussed the problem of mental illness among those incarcerated, the growing use of heroin, especially on the North Shore, and the status of implementation of the concealed carry law. During questions and answers, he promised to share the names of some mental health organizations that might benefit from donations from our clubs.
