High Energy Astrophysical Phenomena Through the Lens of Cosmic Rays

Rostom Mbarek, graduate student at the University of Chicago's Department of Astrophysics, presented the club's lunchtime program on February 10. After briefly introducing himself and his background, Rostom provided an introduction to his work on astrophysical phenomena including the origins of cosmic rays and the formation of neutron stars. Club members expressed interest in having Rostom return to help us learn about black holes.
