Club member Dick Janzow spoke at the September 11, 2019 meeting about his observations of shortfalls in current educational practices for students in grades K-8 in urban or rural settings. He suggested moving to a process of achievement based on successful mastery of specific skills rather than generic grade- or age-based criteria.
