October 10, 2025
Our October 10th meeting was an exciting one as we hosted Hoffman Estates Mayor Bill McLeod, who joined us to draw the winners of this year’s Rotary Vacation Drawing!
As tradition dictates, the Mayor reached into the golden drum three times — each time pulling out a numbered cube representing one of the lucky winners. The winning names were revealed following lunch and fining, keeping the suspense alive throughout the meeting.
And the winners are:
🥇 1st Place – Cube #896: Natalie Nissen (Ticket sold by Mike E.)
🥈 2nd Place – Cube #884: Jack Lucas (Ticket sold by Jack L.)
🥉 3rd Place – Cube #1889: Mike Marach (Ticket sold by Randy G.)
Congratulations to our winners, and thank you to everyone who purchased and sold tickets to support the Rotary Club of Schaumburg-Hoffman Estates Foundation’s ongoing community initiatives!

Mayor McLeod also shared thoughtful remarks with our members, offering commendation for the good work Rotary continues to do in the community. He reflected on the growth and vitality of Hoffman Estates, noting that new residential construction is flourishing in several areas, including around the Bell Works complex, and that the data center project is progressing as planned.
He reminisced about what first attracted his family to Hoffman Estates back in 1978 — strong school districts and quality municipal services — and proudly noted that those same strengths continue to draw new residents today. Mayor McLeod concluded by emphasizing that “we wouldn’t be the same type of community without Rotary.”
It was a great day of fellowship, community pride, and a bit of Rotary excitement as we celebrated our lucky winners and reaffirmed our shared commitment to service above self.
