Brian Berg, who coordinated our club's participation in the installation of smoke detectors last May, received this note of appreciation.

Hi Brian,

I apologize for my delay; I was waiting on some additional paperwork from the Red Cross. Once again, I would like to thank the Schaumburg-Hoffman Rotary Club for participating in our smoke alarm event with the Red Cross. We were able to complete visits in 50 homes, install 110 smoke alarms, and install 38 carbon monoxide alarms on May 5th. Once again, I think we had a tremendous impact on the Schaumburg community. The Fire Department has also received a number of additional calls from residents in the area and throughout Schaumburg requesting home safety visits. Another positive impact of these events is the publicity it generates that results in additional visits for our department.

Please pass on my sincere thanks to your entire organization for once again participating in our event. We hope to continue to do these events on a regular basis and would be thrilled to have the Schaumburg-Hoffman Rotary Club continue to participate.
