Each year the Rotary Club of Schaumburg Hoffman-Estates awards more than $20,000 in scholarships to students in Schaumburg Township who are pursuing post-secondary education.  On 25 May this year's scholarship winners were announced for four of the scholarship categories.  These scholarships are in addition to our "Fishing Well" Scholarships described in another story on this home page.  The recipients attended our regular club meeting and each one told us a littlie bit of their story.  The scholarship committees worked diligently to select these recipients from among the many applications received this year.

The scholarship categories are listed below, along with the names of this year’s recipients.  Each student receiving a scholarship this year has demonstrated outstanding citizenship in their school and their community.  It was a pleasure for our club to host them and their guest on 25 May.  Learning about their accomplishment and their aspirations was inspiring for all who saw and heard them.
