In The News...
Schaumburg AM Rotary will be on holiday hiatus for the next two weeks, meaning we will not be meeting at Egg Harbor Cafe during this time.
We will reconvene our regular weekly meeting format on Wednesday, January 3, 2018!

Schaumburg A.M. Rotary is seeking outstanding local high school students to participate in one of two Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) retreats (3 nights / 4 days) scheduled for either March 8 - 11 or April 12 - 15, 2018 at Edwards Camp & Conference Center in East Troy, Wisconsin, located near Alpine Valley.
The purpose of RYLA is to recognize young people who have demonstrated leadership skills or show potential to be leaders and provide them with an opportunity to explore and further develop these skills with others with similar capabilities. Student feedback on this experience is that it is always outstanding.  Take a look at the video below to learn more about the RYLA retreat experience.
Pictured above is the November 2017 District 6440 Rotary Friendship Exchange team that includes Schaumburg AM Rotary club members Lori Corrigan and Sharon Perry.  This team of 16 Rotarians departs for Taiwan on November 6 via EVA Air.  Following arrival in Taipei the group will travel southwest to Taichung City where they will be hosted by local Rotarians.
New winter coat distribution is the best community service project ever! With the help of matching funds from a Rotary Dist 6440 Simplified Grant our club donated more than 100 new coats - sourced through Operation Warm - to kids from high risk environments who attend the Marletta Darnall Schaumburg Child + Family Center, which is a Children's Home + Aid facility.
Providing new coats to kids in need helps improve self confidence, peer acceptance, school attendance and overall wellness in a way that a second hand coat cannot.  Click here to see more photos.
