This fall, Richmond Spring Grove Area (RSGA) Rotary distributed over 143 brand-new coats to school Districts 2 and 157 (Richmond and Spring Grove)  and District 19 (Alden-Hebron). This is the second year RSGA Rotary has partnered with Operation Warm, a national nonprofit dedicated to providing warmth, confidence and hope for children in need through the gift of brand-new coats. Founded in 1998, Operation Warm and its partners have provided over 3.5 million coats across North America.

RSGA Rotary is committed to Community Service projects that have a positive impact on families in our local community. “Nearly 20% of local children live in poverty and a warm coat is an essential item during Illinois winters,” said Christine Alvarado, RSGA Rotary Operation Warm Chair.   “We are proud to partner with Operation Warm on this initiative to make an impact on our community – especially this year, when more families than ever are in need.”
