For many years, Richmond Spring Grove Area (RGSA) Rotary has partnered with Richardson’s Adventure farm to sell our famous roasted corn as a fundraiser for the club. Due to Coronavirus concerns, this year was particularly challenging to organize. Kudos to RSGA Rotary member Doug Petersen for his exceptional work at changing processes to ensure we were meeting health safety guidelines.

A special thank you to the Richmond-Burton Community High School National Honor Society students and the countless club volunteers (along with their spouses and children) for pitching in and helping make our fundraising efforts a success.

During the five weekends, RGSA Rotary raised an astounding $11,540, which is the third best year in the history of our corn sales. These funds will allow RGSA Rotary to serve our community through our many Community Service projects.

For 35 years, Rotary International has been working hard to eradicate polio from the world. RSGA Rotary decided to dedicate final day of corn sales to #WorldPolioDay. We donated to the Rotary Foundation End Polio fund the equivalent of $75 for each of the 26 members of our club -- $1950. In addition, our district governor, Lyle Staab, contributed an additional $175. That is a total of $2125, bringing us closer to meeting the Rotary goals of eradicating polio!
