Nepal Digital X-Ray Machine
The Park Ridge Rotary club has spearhead the Nepal digital x-ray machine project.
John Vanden Brink will present the Nepal project to the Outreach Committee of the American College of Radiology at the RSNA meeting.
In partnership with the Rotary Foundation, Possible Health has installed and launched a digital x-ray system at our hub, Bayalpata Hospital in Achham District, Far Western Nepal. As of October 2014, this system is fully installed and operational (seen below). In our last fiscal year (8/1/2014-7/31/2015) our team at Bayalpata Hospital provided 6.168 x-rays.
Since receiving this investment from the Rotary Foundation, Possible Health has installed an intranet system at Bayalpata Hospital so that x-rays are viewable throughout the outpatient, inpatient, and emergency departments. This enables far more organized, timely, and efficient care for patients suffering from pneumonia, pneumothorax, heart failure, fractures, concern for visceral perforation, and other conditions.
