The Public Image Team produces the bulletin, press releases, and social media for the club and we can always use your news and content. The bulletin is weekly, press is done as news happens or for planned events, and social media posts on LinkedIn and Facebook are weekly at the least. Following the club social media pages is helpful, as is sharing our pages with friends, family and peers to increase our messaging. Here are tips for submitting. - Always copy the Public Image team (both Kathi [quinn.kathi@gmail.com] & Debbie [d.madeley@comcast.net]).
- We work in tandem and request both are sent the same info for continuity.
- Subject line should contain: NEWS ROTARY [in caps] and a description such as NEWS ROTARY polio drive. This is so we see it, as we receive hundreds of emails a day. The consistent subject allows us to search and not miss time sensitive copy.
- Use this easy formula to know what we need in order to post: Who-What-Where-When-How!
- We are not reporters, so please help us out by providing ALL the details you can in one email (we will edit - so do not worry about style, content etc. -however, content that you do not want public must be noted too.)
- Photos are helpful but require a photo credit (name, org, etc.) if they are not yours.
- Send as attachments in jpeg or png to our emails, not by text. You can upload in Club runner too - but after sending to us.
- Screen shots - and pdfs must be converted to word docs or retyped to submit.
- Who: this describes the overall - participants. For example The Rotary Club of Northbrook invites club members to volunteer for...
- What: a membership drive event, 1 -hour time slot
- Where: at Sunset Foods, 1127 Church Street (yes please add the location)
- When: on Saturday, Sept. 10th from noon until 3 pm (all the whens)
- How: sign up with Joe Rotary, call 847-555-1965, or email him at Joe@rotarygmail.com
