More than 50 collection barrels have been placed across Northbrook, Glenview, Deerfield including at the Public Libraries and Village Halls in all three communities. (Yay Glenview finally signed on this year!!)- Barrels will be collected morning of Monday 12/15.
- Last year, exactly 1,700 winter coats were distributed to more than a dozen organizations to help homeless, refugees, migrants, veterans and others in need stay a bit warmer. This year’s target is 2,000 winter coats.
- In addition to the regular drop off locations, coats will be collected at several special events in each community.
- Friday 11/21 – Illuminate Northbrook, Village Green, Northbrook VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
- Saturday 11/29 – Holiday Park & Parade, Jackman Park, Glenview
- Friday 12/5 – Winter Lighting Celebration, Village Hall, Deerfield
- Saturday 12/6 – Winter Market, Patty Turner Center, Deerfield
- For those who don’t have coats to donate, we are partnering with Operation Warm where new winter coats can be purchased and donated to our drive for $25. I have a flier with a QR code.
