Charter Member PolioPlus Society Update

Dear Rotarians,
It seems like every email I send contains the same phrase "Thank You".  You are a select group of Rotarians who said "I will continue to support Rotary in their quest for the eradication of Polio".  As Rotary President Mehta resently said "Our effort to eradicate Polio is by far the best story in civil-society health care".  As a Rotarian in the new District 6440 PolioPlus Society, all of you are a big part of that Rotary story.
I will be mailing your Charter Member PolioPlus Society pins or presenting in person at your meeting within the next month. Thank you again for your commitment and pledge towards the eradication of Polio.

Take a Stand- Who will you Invite?

Become an UPSTANDER—one who stands up!

We invite you to learn how to be an UPSTANDER when you see harassment, bullying or intimidation towards another person.  Learn skills to intervene safely if you are a witness to harassment—skills applicable to all ethnic and gender situations.

The webinar gives five strategies for intervention: distract, delegate, document, delay and direct; and how to prioritize one’s own safety while intervening. Practice scenarios will give viewers more confidence intervening the next time they see anti-Asian-American harassment.
