SATURDAY EVENT
 
District 6440 Spring Training
 
District 6440 Spring Training will be held on Saturday, April 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Wojcik Conference Center at Harper College.
 
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
  • Location: Wojcik Conference Center at Harper College, 1200 W Algonquin Rd., Palatine, IL 60067
  • Focus: The summit aims to provide Rotarians with opportunities to learn, network, and gain actionable ideas to enhance their club's public image, community service, and membership expansion. 
  • Key Topics: The summit will cover topics such as boosting public image, driving community service, expanding membership, funding, Rotary's strategic action plan, and leveraging business community partnerships. 
  • Speakers: The conference will feature keynote speakers, including Tony Bridwell with "The Follower Effect" and Eve Gomez of Rahab's Daughters, who will share her work fighting human trafficking. 
  • Activities: Attendees will have the chance to participate in breakout sessions, network with fellow Rotarians, and visit the House of Friendship to learn about Rotary's initiatives. 
  • Parking: Park in lot Fawell C and enter into SRC door 1

David Kerpel
Forever Home Dog Sanctuary - Living the Dream 

David's presentation will touch on:

  • Rescuing the dogs most in need
  • How the sanctuary came to be
  • How the sanctuary is different from a shelter or rescue

About David:

David grew up in Wilmette and graduated from New Trier.  He has lived in Deerfield for 22 years, and is married to a wonderful woman and they have two beautiful children, along with  Mr. Wiggles and Chase, both of whom are rescue dogs.  

Their two kids include: Brandon (who is a Sophomore at UIUC) and Samantha (a Junior at Deerfield HS).  They’re okay too, David says!  LOL.
