Rotary Weekend Recap

Saturday was a busy day for our club -the Blood Drive and Training. Many of us participated in our the Rotary District 6440 Spring Training Assembly on Zoom. Just over 100 Rotarians got together for a morning of informative and enlightening training. Its always great to meet fellow Rotarians to find out what everyone is doing for their clubs that can be borrowed and shared.

Linda Borton, District Trainer for Rotary District 6440 welcomed the group, and we heard from a variety of District Governors past, present and future. The General session began with Harassment Training.  After the General Session and Breakouts we regrouped for a variety of training for upcoming board and committee training that included: Secretary Training; Public Image Training; Service Committees; Youth Services; Transition to Hybrid Meetings; Foundation Training; Membership Training; Vocational Services; Treasurer Training; Council of Presidents.

The best take-away of the day is from District Trainer, Ellen Moreau:  When two people each have an apple, and exchange their apples, they each end up with one apple. But when they each have an idea, and exchange their ideas – they end up with TWO ideas!

If you missed the training or would like to participate in additional Rotary learning log on to the website at https://my.rotary.org/en/learning-reference
There is a course catalog that features a range of learning opportunities for every Rotarian. Take a look.
