There are no shortcuts to greatness!

If we want to grow a bigger, better, bolder club then we need to be great.
  1. Great clubs have great leadership.  Leaders that inspire, set a course, notice and fix what needs improvement, ask questions, weigh answers, and display the behavior they want from others.
  2. Great clubs have great members.  Members that are passionate, enthusiastic, inspired, outspoken with new ideas, and willing to roll up their sleeves.
  3. Great leaders and great members create great cultures.  Cultures with welcoming attitude, knowledge, self-promotion, desire to grow, and desire to nurture future leaders.
  4. Great clubs belong to the members.  If the club is not what members want it’s their fault.
  5. Great clubs are efficient.  Members do not tax others with extra work.  Effort is recognized and members help minimize the load.
  6. Great clubs seize opportunities.  They form partnerships and steal ideas.
  7. Great clubs have heart and soul.  Members are bonded together, and it is noticeable to others.
  8. Great clubs have a great sense of humor.  They show it in their meetings, their publications, their websites, and in their smiles.
  9. Great clubs look cool.  Great meeting places with banners and flags, and websites that showcase accomplishments.  This builds pride among the membership.
  10. Great clubs don’t wait to be great.  They start today by:
    • Developing strategic plans
    • Sending members to train and to learn
    • Organizing themselves
    • Changing their look
    • Taking risks
