  • SERVOS DO BOM PASTOR - This is a non-profit that assists the homeless, and drug addicts, collecting them from the streets, and offering room and board until they are able to function back in the community. On the side of the Ambulance that we donated to them via a TRF Matching Grant, by the side of the Rotary International and TRF logos, it reads: "Restoring Dignity to the Sons of God". They currently have the capacity of housing 75 assisted people.
  • A.P.A.E. - Association of Parents and Friends of the Severely Handicapped - This is a National non-profit that has chapters in just about every city of every state in Brazil. Its name describes well what it does, and the individuals (children and adults) that it serves. The 16-seater Minibus that we donated through a TRF Matching Grant is put to good use transporting their assisted people to and from their homes, and to social events that aim at mainstreaming the severely handicapped as much as possible. It is worth noting that the Minibus is fueled by Diesel S-50, which is an advanced fuel developed with an ecological concern, as it burns much cleaner than the usual Diesel fuel, consequently minimizing the impact on the environment, definitely a Rotarian concern.
  • A.A.C.A. - Association for the Assistence to Children and Adolescents (at social risk) - A Complementary School for children (ages 6-14) and adolescents (ages 14-18) that implements two programs: The Child-Citizen Program and The Adolescent-Citizen Program. It is called Complementary because it services students of the regular school curriculum, in the period of the day in which they are NOT in school. All the students receive academic support and help, as well as training in life basics such as higiene, and social skills. The Adolescents also receive professional training in areas deemed important by entrepreneurs in the local work force, such as Bakery, Informatics, and Industrial Sewing and Embroidery. A.A.C.A. is a Foundation open to participation by any member of the community, and every Rotarian of the Rotary Club of Guaxupe is automatically a member. You must be a Rotarian to be elected to the Foundation Board of Directors.
