GROWING OUR CLUB & ROTARY THROUGH INTERACT – ARE YOU READY TO LEAD?
> Interact Chair needed: Are you passionate about Youth programs offered by Rotary, specifically Interact? Young people are our future and they are passionate about service, and they make us passionate about service.
Recall the outstanding projects that our Interact Clubs organized last year, when the Rolling Meadows Club was recognized as our Interact Club of the Year! District 6440 has 36 Interact clubs and several clubs are working with their local middle schools and high schools to re-activate their clubs. The Niles Club is the sponsor of our newest Interact Club in the District and they are already working on fundraising for a Global Grant Project. It would be great to host another District wide Youth Assembly, which we organized pre-Covid, which was attended by hundreds of students.
Mike Shwert of the Antioch Club has been the Interact Chair for multiple years and he is stepping down-thank you for your service, Mike! What does the Interact Chair do? Here's a quick list: Serves on the District’s Youth Services Team; Helps recruit and then lead a team to support and expand Interact; Informs the District Governor Nominee and Youth Service Advisor of developments, concerns, and opportunities regarding Interact and Rotaract; Engages with Interact Clubs and become familiar with operations and personnel. Understand relationship with sponsoring Rotary Clubs; Maintains the listing of contact information for D6440 Interact Clubs, their Club Liaisons and Advisors; Assist Clubs with the RI certification process for Interact Clubs. Service Above Self Creates Happiness- Can you step up and help?
If this is of interest to you, please reach out to Governor Nominee Marlene.
