ABOUT THE DUCKY EVENT SO YOU CAN CHAT ABOUT IT: Celebrating the 22nd Annual Rotary Rubber Ducky Race coming up on September 15th at Northbrook’s Shermerfest needs to be on your calendar. It also means tickets are now on sale. Each club member is required to sell or buy a minimum of $100 in tickets! If you don’t buy them pre-race your ducks will be sad and embarrassed to not be in the race! So, use the link below and get your $100 Quack Pack (that’s 15 ducks!). Tickets paid for after the race, will not be entitled to have a duck placed in the water or eligible to win any prize.
These tickets are fun to sell – a single duck is only $10, a Quack-pack of 3 for $25 and the famous “Flock” includes 15 ducks for $100. Make sure your donors know they are invited to see the ducks go into the water and race at 3 pm, as well as enjoying a full family day of fun at The 46th Annual Shermerfest The Northbrook Historical Society’s event from Noon to 4pm in the Village Green Park and inside the Northbrook History Museum located at 1776 Walters Ave.
Food and Fun for all Ages! “Classic Northbrook” CARavan and Car Show (route details and registration form coming soon) through the streets of Northbrook and on the Village Green. Popcorn, hot dogs, soup lunch, live entertainment and more! In addition to providing an annual family tradition, the yearly Yellow Ducky Race is one of the fundraisers that supports local grants! This is an opportunity to teach children about being good citizens.
The grant committee interviews and selects recipients for funding. Grants ranging from $500 to $2,500 – totaling about $42,000 are awarded to several local non-profit organizations by the Rotary Club of Northbrook each year.
