Going to School in a World Wide Pandemic

Larry will discuss the challenges District 28 confronted and how problems were solved in order to create for children a successful choice-based schooling option (either fully in-person or fully remote) during the pandemic.

2020-21 was arguably the most challenging year for education when considering the last 100 years.  Larry will share how the pandemic upended school as we knew them and what types of adaptations and adjustments had to be made in order to successfully educate children.

 About Larry:  Larry is entering his 15^th (and final year) as Superintendent of District 28.  Prior to that, he served 3 years as Superintendent of Oak Grove District 68 in Green Oaks, IL. He was an elementary school principal for 7 years; a jr. high assistant principal for 3 years; and started his career as a teacher;  He has BS and MS degrees from University of IL at Urbana-Champaig along with a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from National Louis University.
