CATCH - Let's Talk About Mental Health

Our children's mental health is being challenged like never before and CATCH is supporting kids and families as they navigate; urging them to prioritize emotional wellness and fostering resilience. 

Amy will share her family's personal story and how that led to her idea behind CATCH.  She will outline some of the many programs that CATCH is providing for our community and speak to the importance of normalizing conversations around our collective mental health. 

About Amy:

Amy was born and raised in Michigan, moving here after college.  After some years in a manufacturing plant translating for Spanish speakers, she moved to Northbrook and began work as a preschool teacher when her youngest went to kindergarten. Before the pandemic, Amy spent 6 years as a first grade assistant teacher at Westmoor Elementary.  And, since fall of 2020, Amy has volunteered full time as Executive Director at CATCH. She's a Mom of two and, because of her family's journey, is passionate about mental health and erasing the stigma of mental illness. 

Amy and her team are challenging our community to normalize mental health by talking openly about it and making our home a safe place to reach out for help.
