Julie Funnell, Cadaques, Spain  recently made a second trip to help support the loosely organized multi-national project we have participated in a remote village, Dassa Vedji, Benin. You probably won't find it on a map.

Most of the funds we and Prem Advani's Educate The Children Foundation have sent to Benin have supported individual children for school expenses, supplies, uniforms, and medical exams, but some of the kids stay in these modest facilities with a "house mother."

What follows is a letter from  Janvier Houlonon, who visited us in 2007

and who spearheads the Benin work for school kids in the village.

"Here are some pictures that we took on the 26 July when we made food
donation , breakfast money and mosquito nets to the children living in
the centre who are now going to their families for holidays.
The next school year start 1 of October 2014.
Apart those children 20 others will also receiv in Abomey from our
charity organization, the same supplies since they were identified as
needy children.
But for the school star they will receiv school supplies, uniforms , tuitions

and some will be selected to benefit from us during all the school year 2014-2015 ,

breakfast money and food even they will stay with their families.
The money for breakfast will be paid monthly to the women in charge of
serving food in the different schools where the selected children or
beneficiaries will be.
Pictures of donations of school uniforms , school supplies and
tuitions or school fees will be sent to all the donors or kind people
who sponsor this action.
Thanks to all of you who already sent money to support us in this
kind and non profit activity wich not generate money for us but
generate brillant futur to some people who without this action will
never have access to the top or middle class of the society to be
helpfull for their communities, their families and their country.
Thanks lots and please share this to all the kind
peoples who contributed to this action.
May God bless all of you and your families and keep alive for long
time in aim to continue with us this activity.
On behalth of all the beneficiaries and on my name I
say once again Thank you.
                           Janvier Adigninou HOULONON"
