September 7, 2017 Meeting Notes - None

 

 

Stan Roelker noted he had received the license plat for the corn roaster trailer from the Secretary of State. Alan Nerad suggested the two clubs may want to consider painting the corn roaster unit on the side or back to promote/identify Rotary.

 

Karen noted she would be dropping off the club's applications for holiday families at the Food Pantry.  Karen noted she is contemplating the club sponsoring two families for Thanksgiving and one family for Christmas.  A discussion regarding reaching out to the Food Pantry to see if one of the holiday families sponsored could be to aid in celebrating Hanukkah followed.  

 

Alan noted that he would be sharing his presentation on the Wheelchair project with the Mundelein/Vernon Hills club on September 11, 2017.  He noted he had visited the Northbrook club on September 6, 2017 to share the presentation as well.

 

A discussion regarding whether or not to have one meeting per month feature eggs benedict or simply have members and guests order off of the menu at each meeting.  It was the consensus of the members to order from the menu each week and discontinue offering eggs benedict once a month.

 

A discussion regarding seeking out a possible alternate location followed. Stand noted he had reach out to Egg Harbor and they may be interested and have more of a private room available for club meetings.  A brief discussion regarding possible location change for meetings followed.
