Five Rotary Clubs gathered with their incoming presidents at Elgin Country Club, June 17, and were installed by Rotary District 6440 District Governor, Thor Davidson. Glenn Morgenroth-Dundee Township, John Skillman-Carpentersville, Maggie Beyer-Elgin Breakfast, Justin Genz and Hannah Reynolds-Elgin Noon, and Karen Hutchings-Huntley, all proudly accepted their offices in a lovely dining room overlooking the golf course.
The clubs, from both McHenry and Kane Counties, are developing opportunities to work together on projects to give more service to surrounding communities. Each club installed their additional officers at other dates and location. Huntley installed James Drendel as Treasurer and Jim Uszler as Secretary and was joined by past Treasurer, Rudi Welvers. Jim Uszler was awarded the Distinguished Service Citation showing gratitude from the club for fulfilling the Rotary motto of Service above Self.
