Rotary District Governor Sarah Oliver visited the Huntley Rotary Club on Tuesday, April 29 to present three awards to the club, which earned distinction within Rotary District 6440.

The Huntley Club received the 2013-2014 Central Award for setting and achieving strategic goals.  By meeting and exceeding goals within the year and growing membership, the club also qualified for the Presidential Citation Award, which recognizes the level of club member activity internationally and through community service and local projects.

Finally, in March the Huntley Rotary Club achieved the distinction of becoming a 100% Paul Harris Fellowship Club.  Membership to the Paul Harris Foundation is paid by individual dues to further the cause of Rotary, including addressing humanitarian issues such as health care, hunger, poverty, illiteracy and the environment. This honor is rare for clubs to achieve, and speaks highly to the dedication of club members to the ideals of Rotary International.
