Polio is still in Afghanistan and Pakistan but children are at risk everwhere until it is eradicated. Before the vaccines were discovered and administered, many children lived in Iron Lungs to help them breath. RILEE, (Rotary Iron Lung Education Exhibit) a travel museum with the iron lung inside, will be at Deicke Park for Fall Fest on September 25 from 10 am to 5:00 pm & 26 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Join us and learn that until the polio virus is completely eliminated everywhere in the world, it can return to paralyze our youth. Rotary cares and is still spending millions each year to eliminate polio so we can all be safe and protected.
