Announcements

Our club delegation is visiting Nairobi, Kenya for Rotary UN Day this week and to advance our club’s projects in Kenya. Traveling are President Michele Berg, Jane Lawicki, Mark Steele, and Kate Orloff, wife of club member Jason Orloff.

News flash – Michele Berg was interviewed live on Kenyan TV on Thursday, Nov. 8 about Rotary-UN Day.

Jason Orloff announced the creation of a second Rotary goodwill banner created by his wife, Kate, and he invited all club members to sign it – he will take it with him on his upcoming trip to Europe.

Paul Larson reminded members to attend our Thursday, Nov. 15 "Heads Up, Evanston!" event.  This will be the entire program for our club meeting that day. This year we will have more than 20 local not-for-profit organizations, sharing information about their activities.

The event starts promptly at 12:15 p.m. Club members should try to get there a little bit early, so we can be sure to start on time.

Our Holiday Party will be on Dec. 13 at Chef’s Station – mark your calendars. Club member Don Bally will be providing entertainment.

Just a reminder that we are still collecting foodstuffs in our donation box just outside the glass doors that lead to the meeting rooms in the Rotary building. We are also still collecting empty prescription bottles -- that box will continue to be located near the registration table at our weekly meeting.
