About Rotary Youth Exchange

Rotary Youth Exchange is a Rotary International student exchange program for students in secondary school. Since 1929, Rotary International has sent young people around the globe to experience new cultures. Currently, more than 8,000 students are sponsored by Rotary clubs in this program every year.

Typically, students are sent to another country for a year-long stay, where they live with multiple host families during the year and perform daily tasks within the household while attending school in the host country. Shorter-term exchange programs are also commonly available. These usually involve direct student exchanges between two families that are arranged through Rotary and usually coincide with school holiday periods.

Rotary Youth Exchange is available to students in the Evanston area. To learn more about how this program works, visit Rotary's Youth Exchange website
