President John began by thanking RI staff for their amazing support throughout his time here. Talked about service in Rotary and that service is everything and helps so many.

May 16 (Tue) - PizzaFest 2017 @ Gigio's – Jason Toussaint and Stephanie Murray are co-chairs. The PR committee is getting celebrity servers. Tickets have been delivered – get out there and sell your tickets!!!

Volunteers needed – Support Evanston Chamber Artisan SummerFest - 24/25 June
The Rotary Club of Evanston is an Evanston Chamber member and President Dave, Paul Fischl and Brian Brown are all on the Chamber Board. They are seeking volunteers to help out at the 2017 Evanston Chamber Artisan SummerFest on the 24th and 25th of June (Sat and Sun) to help collect donations at the gates, assist with hospitality for the participating artists, help with general traffic control on Friday & Sunday evenings for Artist arrival and departure, and even help out with artist registration on Friday night. Once again, a most generous anonymous donor is making Rotary Foundation recognition points available
to match cash contributions to The Rotary Foundation’s Annual Fund-SHARE. This is a great
opportunity for Rotarians to become new Paul Harris Fellows. Do take advantage of this generous
donation and support the wonderful work of Rotary International.
It is through these donations that the District Designated Funds for our club coming back to use to support our involvement in District Grants and Global Grants. This year, our club set a goal to contribute $10,000 to the Annual Fund, and through December we were just over half way there, with contributions of $5,100. Please help our club reach our goal for 2016-17, which also helps support our ability to participate in Foundation grants in future years. Thank you!!
